Our island is a self-governing Overseas Collectivity since July15th 2007. This important change in our political institutions has led us into big projects.
Our new powers allow us to particularly make every effort to preserve our quality of life and that is why the protection of our environment is one of our main concerns.
We really do our best in order to be able to transmit to our children an island where they will feel happy to stay and live. These actions will also help us develop tourism and consolidate it for the future. In fact, the charm and beauty of this island are the consequences of the alliance between this exceptional natural landscape and the action of man through the centuries.
Therefore I’m happy to encourage every initiative which permits to preserve our environment and to increase the value of our beauty spots. And that’s exactly what “Easy Time” is doing as they work as a tourist guide.
The Collectivity of Saint-Barthelemy wants to take up these new challenges and keep struggling to improve the image of our heritage and the respect of our exceptional quality of life which make the inhabitants very proud and our visitors very happy.
